Constance Marie is a famous American actress who is most famous for her performances as Angie Lopez in the TV show “George Lopez” (2002-2007), and as Marcela Quintanilla, Selena’s mother, in the movie “Selena” (1997).

Constance Marie grew up in East Los Angeles. When she was 19 years old, Constance performed as a dancer in the musical “Cosmopolis” by composer Ryuichi Sakamoto in Japan.
After returning to Los Angeles, she was noticed by a dance choreographer who was working with David Bowie and was hired to perform on the Glass Spider Tour in 1987.

During her teenage years, Constance Marie started her acting career, and her first film appearance was in the 1988 movie “Salsa.” She has also appeared in various television shows and movies, such as “Early Edition,” “Dirty Dancing,” “Selena,” “Spin City,” and “Ally McBeal.” In 2001, Marie starred in the comedy-drama film “Tortilla Soup” with Héctor Elizondo, Jacqueline Obradors, and Elizabeth Peña. Furthermore, she acted in the PBS drama series “American Family.”
