Megan and her mother moved to Pearland when she was 14 years old. There, Megan started writing raps of her own, and attended Pearland High School. Megan Thee Stallion subsequently enrolled at Prairie View A&M University.
While in college, Megan started uploading videos of her freestyle raps on social media, particularly on Instagram. After one of her videos went viral, Megan Thee Stallion started to accumulate a significant following.
