Spider-Man vs Miles Morales
It is without a doubt that Insomniac Games has created the best Spider-Man game in history. The game is extremely immersive and it gives Peter Parker’s perfect perspective of what it is like to be Spider-Man and how he balances his private life and his superhero life. The game was then succeeded by a spin-off called Spider-Man Miles Morales, which showed how Miles took charge as Spider-Man while Peter was away on vacation.
You can delve deeper into the game on the internet to read more about it. You can even access extensive walkthroughs but for that, you must ensure that your internet is fast enough to stream all those videos;therefore, it is a smart decision to opt for Spectrum internet since it is already a popular internet service among gamers.
Now the question is, out of the two Spider-Men, which one is better? Keep reading for a comparison between the two and be the judge yourself.
Peter’s Story Featured Better Villains
Who knew that the Sinister Six would be incorporated into the first Spider-Man game? At the beginning of the game, players get to witness a boss fight against Wilson Fisk, also known as the Kingpin. The story suggests that Kingpin had been wreaking havoc for quite some time and Peter finally gets the chance to put him behind bars.
The best part is, this fight was featured as a tutorial and it was still an iconic one. Wilson Fisk is one of the many villains in the game; the other villains include major names such as Rhino, Vulture, Scorpion, Electro, and Mr. Negative.
If you really want to experience what it is like fighting all these villains as Spider-Man, then the game is certainly something you shouldn’t be missing out on. As you level up through the game, you can increase the difficulty level and make things a lot more difficult for yourself.
Miles Morales has a Better Soundtrack though
If you were to compare the soundtracks for both games, it is without a doubt that Miles Morales would take the lead with its brilliant music. The trailer itself featured “On My Own” by Jaden ft. Kid Cudi and the song became popular just as soon as the trailer dropped.
The best part is that the music syncs up perfectly with every moment in the game, making it even more exhilarating. The music has a more hip-hop style to it, which fits perfectly with Miles’ persona. In fact, the music is quite similar to something you would have heard in Into the Spiderverse, which was centered around Miles Morales as well.
Which of the Two is the Longer One?
Another factor that needs to be taken into account is which of the two games is the longer one. Given that Miles Morales is a spin-off, it is definitely a lot shorter than Spider-Man. Spider-Man is more centered on building up a story, which is why it is a lot longer.
Spider-Man also has an extensive storyline that shows the city of New York under havoc and to what extent Peter has to go so that he could protect the city. Miles Morales, on the other hand, is a continuation of the story and it has a more direct approach from the start to the finish of the game.
That being said, Spider-Man is definitely the longer out of the two so if you feel like you need to play a Spider-Man game that is long enough, then that would certainly be Spider-Man.
Spider-Man gives you more Characters to play with
While Miles Morales gives you only Miles to play with, Spider-Man occasionally gives you two other characters to play with other than Peter. These characters are Mary Jane and Miles himself. However, at this point Miles has not become Spider-Man himself.
This makes it an interesting factor in the game since you are not just stuck playing as Peter and it is fun to play with people who have no powers for a change. However, you need to know that these missions will be a bit slow due to a lack of superpowers and the need for a strategy that you will have to devise.
There are Better Movement Mechanics in Miles Morales
If there is one thing that Miles Morales really paid emphasis on, it was the fluid mechanics that the game has. The web swinging in the game is significantly better and Miles is a lot more agile than Peter.
Miles even has an additional power called “bioelectricity” that enhances his existing powers and even helps give him a boost as he is swinging. So this is something that makes the game a bit better than Spider-Man.
Wrapping Up
Even though both the games go head-to-head, the final verdict would be that 2018’s Spider-Man is the victor among the two. The game has an extensive storyline, an interesting combat system, and the best villains from the comic franchise.
